Matthew McConaughey has been a good actor, appearing in a number of good movies."Serenity" isn't a good movie.Maybe he needs a paycheck. So's the rest of the cast in the movie. The movie is so bad that the film company has given up on the movie. When a movie company gave up on promoting the film, you know that the movie is bad. McConaughey plays a fishing boat captain who lead people on his boat tours. He's not a nice guy. He blows up in anger every chance he gets. he live in a shack which reminds me of those storage units. The one day a mysterious woman from his past shows up and wanted him to save her and her son from her abusive. Ann Hathaway plays the woman from her past. Judging from my rating, I could've gave a it a Stay Away! but I settle on a Wait for Rentals! because of the performance from Diane Lane. She's the only standout in the movie. Watching her performance in the movie made me a little sad, the way Hollywood has treated actresses in their 50's or 60's. Lane deserve better than that. Too bad her scenes were few.. I like to see her in more scenes. She's 53 years old and she in still beautiful. The flashback scenes when the kid was working on the computer and the parents were fight in the next room is choppy and bad. That did the movie in.
