I admired rising star Gina Rodriguez. I've been following her career for the past few year and I find her quite beautiful. Every time I saw her on a cover of a magazine, I tend to buy the copy. I very much in love with the actress. But sadly, "Miss Bala" is proof that Rodriguez is not ready for a action movie. Not yet anyway. She plays a young woman who enter in a beauty contest who world is turn upside down when cartel men shoots up a nightclub and her friend been kidnapped. Before you know she was at the mercy of the cartel. The film is based on the Spanish language movie which O probably never see, portrayal Rodriguez's character as helpless who been pit around by fellow cartel member. Only in the last few minutes of the movie when she all deck out in dress carrying a assault rifle. It's sad for men to see Gina Rodriguez treated this way. she deserves better than this.
