I'm not saying the the Disney's version of "the Nutcracker" is great, but one thing that i like and it's not stage like the past Nutcracker movies. I can recall being introduced to the "the Nutcracker," in 1976 as part of the CBS retelling of the classic. I was hooked. Recently, I downloaded the 1958 version of "Playhouse 90's The Nutcracker for my Facebook page. The reason? it feature a very young Bonnie Bedelia as Clara. I didn't expect the same-old, same-old version. the new version of the movie was jazzed up with special effects and a beautiful background. If you follow the the Nutcracker movie and TV special will have no trouble following the movie. Clara was given a key in which it was stolen by a mouse and she must get it back. Mackenzie foy did a great job as Clara. She was appealing and aside from the special effects. Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy nearly stole the movie from Foy. You think the movie is or kids? think again. this movie is for everyone. I enjoy the movie and iu hope more people will see the movie. I saw the movie in 3D so I like it even more.
