If you're a fan of the TV series, you'll really enjoy this movie. It's like a continuation of the show, with the only detriment being that you only have two hours to revisit everyone again. It's not nearly enough time, but the fact that they used the Royal Visit as the storyline allows for a much more compact story to see from beginning to end. This will be an easy buy when it comes out on home video, to go alongside the discs for all six seasons of the series. If you aren't familiar with the series, there is enough background thrown in so that new people aren't lost, but it's definitely more enjoyable if you've seen the show. If you haven't seen the show, I highly recommend it! I also highly recommend this movie! Looking for more opinions?Check out our Featured Movie Reviews for Downton Abbey. |
