There was an old saying, "Keep Your Friends close and keep your enemies closer." that was probably the main theme of "the Best of Enemies. and an unlikely friendship between a civil rights activists and the leader of the KKK. the battle centers over desegregation of the public schools after their black school caught fire and the students are left with nowhere to go. The focus of the battle is between Ann Atwater (Taraji P. Henson) and C.P Ellis (Sam Rockwell) over the future of the education of black children. yes, it was a true story of what happened at in North Carolina in 1971, and it told of a familiar tale of civil rights battle to gain their liberty, but the performances by Henson and Rockwell, made this movie worthwhile. Another sad part of the movie. it was released in April. If that movie were to be release in say October, there would have gain a few Oscar nominations. that April release date will cost their movie Oscar nominations. If I like to see an Oscar nomination for anything, I hope it will go to Sam Rockwell for his strong performance in the movie. He made this movie possible.
