It takes an local political assassination that lead to a major World War. Director Peter Jackson takes us back to a violent conflict with footage of the war and hear from the people who witnessed the conflict. When the first World War broke out it was called either the Great War or the War to End all War. The cameras caught the men while getting ready for battles and the battles themselves. the camera never finches to the scenes of the wounded and the dead. Jackson has taken some of the footage and color to make the effect look more real. it's a good thing that Peter Jackson has made footage of the first World War into a motion picture. We haven't had a World War I movie in years. I like to see more people see the movie, especially younger people. "They Shall Not Grow Old" is a important movie about a dark time in World History. it's required viewing.
