One of the best movies that I ever saw in 2019. There are two things that made say that when I saw the movie. 1) Mindy Kaling's screen play, 2) the The Performance by Emma Thompson is probably her best role in years. Thompson plays Katherine Newbury who hosted her own late night show, who is rude to her co-workers (calling them by number rather than by name) and booked guests who doesn't attract ratings. Then one day, she discovered that there are no woman employees, she she demands that she hired one and that's where Molly Petel comes in, played by Kailing. She changed the image of the show by first standing up to Newbury, Then Newbury's outlook on life has changed with the help of Petel, has help her with both her rating and her relationship with the people around her. I love this movie because of the performance and writing by Mindy Kailing, but the biggest performance from Emma Thompson. She reminds me of the performance of Meryl Streep in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada." Thompson is the biggest reason why I love the movie.
