A violent thriller that doesn't address the topic of bullying. "Ma" is a movie that premise was borrowed from "Greta" last March. When I saw "Ma" I though about "Greta," and when I do, I didn't like the movie quite much. The film didn't add anything new, it's just violence and more violence. I don't know why Octavia Spencer was in the movie. She was in such great movies like the "The Help," "Hidden Figures." and "The Shape of Water." Why take this role that was probably gone to a lesser known actress. The movie open with a group of teens befriend a lonely middle-age woman who supply them with alcohol and then she offer them a place to party with any harassment from the police. That went well until someone went upstairs, breaking one of her rules. Alison Janney was also in the movie. She only appear in a few scenes, just to chew out Octavia, who works as a vet helper. Evan Octavia's past didn't help me at all. In two years when the movie comes I'm assuming to FX, that movie Ma will be rated TV-MA and I'm not trying to be funny.
