As the Daniel Craig saga of Bond movies go, the finale ranks above Spectre and Quantum of Solace, but below the excellent Casino Royale and Skyfall.

I was disappointed to see some plot points recycled from other episodes, but overall, the movie did a good job of wrapping up the saga and its characters. It also introduced some new characters that we’ll likely see again when “James Bond will return.“

As far as the IMAX aspect goes, I don’t feel as though watching this in an IMAX theater did anything more. I would have much preferred to see this in a well-equipped theater with excellent sound and clearer picture. It might have been just this IMAX theater that needs to calibrate their projector, but I found the focus problematic as was the overall clarity. If you can’t wow the audience with the picture quality in an IMAX theater, you aren’t justifying the upcharge you command.

I look forward to seeing this movie again, and I fully expect to enjoy it more when the presentation is better.
