The story was good and the surprise twist near the end was unexpected. As for the rest of the movie, it was a little slow in spots but still worth seeing.

This movie is not only a relic of pre-9-11 days, but a relic of pre-John Woo and Matrix styles. There's no slow-mo-while-camera-swings-around effects here, just good old Arnie running and gunning his way through various locales. It's an old-fashioned action movie, and due to September 11th we probably won't see another one like it for quite some time.

That said, Collateral Damage is far from perfect. For an Arnie movie, there's a little too much acting involved and not enough of the big guy looking cool with a machine gun. The action doesn't really heat up until the last half hour or so, when we get a few plot twists and more than a few explosions thrown our way. Before that, though, it's a few recognizable faces in amusing cameos and a few scattered action scenes to move the plot along faster.

Typical Arnold "B" Movie - Just like Commando, Raw Deal ,Red Heat, Eraser, End of Days, etc. OK Movie, lots of action, stereo-typical bad guy.

I'm an Arnold fan - but this is no Terminator, True Lies, Conan movie. Nothing worth seeing on the big screen - you can easily wait for rental.

The ONLY reason this movie may do any more Box Office Bucks is due to the tie ins to Post September 11. Had this been released before Sept 11, it would not have made a ripple.

2 stars out of 5.

Sorry Arnold (but I can't wait for Terminator 3!)

Yes, its another Arnold flick. But it isn't what you might expect. The script is written expertly to weave a tale of revenge and trickery unseen before in an Arnold pic. No more running through a hail of bullets without getting a scratch.

This is the most true to life action movie I've ever had the pleasure of seeing Arnold do. But it is still an action movie and you are provided with plenty to satisfy that craving.

The story easily carries you along with the movie as if you are glued to your chair waiting to see what happens next. This movie is worth seeing up on the big screen. I was very pleased with this thinking man's action movie. And it was an asset to the movie, having gone through 911 such a short time ago. It was as real as a movie can be. P.S. Watch for the Mike Tyson moment.

Arnold Schwarzenegger comes though again in "Collateral Damage." In it, he played a firefighter who lost his wife and son in a terrorist attack. Arnold goes to Colombia to search for the terrorist leader.

The film is set for release last September, but the terrorist attacks of September 11 has pushed the film back. In other words, the film has hit too close to home. The film has some surprises to add to an otherwise rotinue action thriller.

A standard Arnold action movie, which doesn't mean it's bad, it just means that there isn't anything new here.

It would get a Good rating if only it had some great lines like there were in Commando and others.
