Featuring more big-name cast members than most movies that are released primarily in theaters, this movie is more satire than it is the black comedy that some may want when they see the advertising for it. Very few stereotypes are spared the caricature treatment over the course of nearly two and a half hours. The degree to which they are spoofed is part of the point. Its approach is not subtle, and you will be able to connect these fictional characters to real-world figures and/or organizations quite easily. In a time when the ridiculous has become mainstream, this heavy-handed approach is not only fitting, it's likely necessary to get its point across to an audience that has been subjected to the same assault on their sensibilities in reality. In 5-10 years, hopefully, people will look at this movie and not understand why it was made. That means that you'll want to watch it now, just like a record-setting number of people have done since it was released in theaters and on Netflix. Satires are best enjoyed fresh!
