Three little letters. "WOW"

The size of the screen, the rich and full sound, a really big screen, a really good sound system. Could you ask for anything better? I think not.

If you are within 70 miles of a theater showing "The IMAX Experience" version of this film, don't even think about skipping this one. Simply awesome. Very enjoyable, highly recommended.

If you enjoyed "Attack of the Clones" in the theater, as I did, you should see it on the big screen of an IMAX theater!

If you disliked the pacing of the film, as I did, you should see this version, since it has been edited to remove about 20 minutes of footage to fit within the technical limitations of the IMAX format. The changes cut out many of the awkward scenes between Padme and Anakin, and serve to tighten the storyline without being too abrupt.

The DVD was just recently released, and going to see it in the theater reminded me of why I bought the DVD. It's too bad that they couldn't have provided us with a way to view the re-edited version...

The IMAX screen was large (approx 70'x52'), but not the widest I've ever viewed a movie on. It definitely won in the height category, which means that the spectacular scenes are even more so when they take up your entire field of vision! At that size, you couldn't help but notice that this was a blow-up from a small negative, but the effects were not in-your-face distracting.

The final third of film rides like a great rollercoaster, and the scale of the coliseum and ground battles were very impressive!

Seeing this film on the really big screen will make it very difficult to return to my local cinema and their 28' screens...
