From the auther of James Bond comes "Chitty, Chitty, Ban Bang!" a comic musical about an inventor who falls in love and at the same time he invents a car that is years ahead. The car can do everything including Flying and float on water. something James bond would have come up with years later. The villains are the people who rule this tiny kingdom where children were banned. It looks like a pre-War War One German kingdom. They want the car and they will do anything to get it. they even sent their goons to get it. That speech that Dick Van dyke gave to thye children in the tunnel is touching. One of the highlights of this film.

The king is childish, the man who kidnaps kids has a big nose. The musical numbers are memorable and despite the noisy kids, I had fun with the movie. The film can fly, just like the car.
