\"The Rundown\" is a action movie featuring the Rock, who is assigned one last mission of bringing back a bounty before he call it quits. Seann William Scott play the man that the Rock was suposed to bring back. This is a fun action movie that could\'ve succeded as a summer movie, but it worked much better in the fall. Oct 4, 2003
It's actually a cross between See Now! and Good. It definitely has action. There are a number of funny moments as well. It is on the order of an "Indiana Jones" type movie. It is without a doubt an entertaining movie. Oct 5, 2003
Move over Arnold! The Rock rocks! If you like action adventure and just pure entertainment, this is the movie for you. From the beginning to the end, this movie keeps you completely engrossed with plenty of action spiced by comedy (but the right amount -- not overdone). My husband and I are still snickering over some of the subtle and not-so-subtle humor today. Especially the scenes in the jungle with the monkeys! The Rock plays a bounty hunter who gets himself entrenched with a bad man who provides him with various jobs to pay off his debt. This next "job" is to bring back the man's son who is seeking an artifact in the Brazilian jungle. After this, the plan is to quit that life and open a restaurant. But you know it's not going to be easy. Rock's demeanor throughout the film is to focus on getting the job done with little to no violence, but others make it hard for him. Which leads to a great combination of both action and humor. Christopher Walken is terrific as the ultimate bad guy in the jungle. He plays the part as if he doesn't even know he IS the bad guy and wonders why people hate him so much. There is one cameo at the beginning (I won't spoil it) which sets the stage for a bright future for this up and coming action star. The Rock combines his brawn, intellect and quiet humor in a way that makes his potential limitless and truly entertains. Just the breathtaking scenery is enough to get you to go to the big screen.....ENJOY! Oct 8, 2003
If you\'ve seen the trailer, wait for rental. If you haven\'t, the film is good enough. I didn\'t expect that a film with The Rock, Seann William Scott, and Christopher Walken would miss, but it did. Oct 10, 2003
Although not an excellent movie, this one is entertaining and an enjoyable evening out. If you like the Indiana Jones type you will enjoy this one. Oct 15, 2003
It was my husband's turn to pick the movie and I didn't mind because I do like "The Rock"! It paid off because I laughed alot while seeing this movie. It was excellent! I am so glad I went to see it. Can't wait for it to come out in the store so I can buy it! Oct 26, 2003
