It was a huge disappointment. We found it annoying with all the flash scenes of the video game everywhere in the movie. In talking with others they felt the same way. The movie had potential but failed to ever find it.

\"House of the Dead\" is a violent stupid film about a group of horny teens who went to an island to party, and they\'re attacked by a group of zombies. This is the third horror film that the film started out with horny teens who go out in the woods and bad things has happened to them. In \"Wrong Turn,\" we started with party teens who head for the woods, only to be cut down by mutants. In \"Cabin Fever,\" we see another group of teens who go out in the woods, only to be sick by the water they drink. Now in \"House of the Dead\" the theme is again repeated. Horror movies are no longer fun, they are excuses for blood and gore. A better horror film is \"Night of the Living Dead.\" Here we have a film that has fun with the gerne. But in \"House of the Dead,\" it\'s the same old same old. The film is based on the video game, but as movie, it lousy. When the survivors open fire on the zombies, I saw the film as nothing more than a shooting gallery.

Fortunately I waited until it came out on DVD.

Unfortunately I took notice of the Blockbuster review.

Fortunately I rented it out as the freebie on the 2 for 1 night.

Unfortunately I chose it when I could have had \'Watching Grass Grow\' as my free.

Fortunately I fell asleep way before the end.

I give anything and any movie a go. I like to pass my own judgement, sometimes finding redeeming factors where others find none at all.
