There's not much to like in "Catwomen," as it failed to escape the shadow of the Batman series. I love Halle Berry, but she wasn't given anything to do. Sharon Stone (whom I admired very much) came off as a weak villian. Every the Catwoman costume is terrible. See "Spider-Man 2" instead.

How bad is it? Well, it's not bad enough to be good and it's not bad enough to be mediocre, but it's bad enough to be tolerable. It's thoroughly bad, understand, there can be no cohesive argument explaining "Catwoman" away. The premise is absolutely ridiculous and hateful to the intelligence of the audience. It's overdirected in every sense, you hope that Halle Berry was paid enough to star in the picture as the dialogue she is forced to recite and the actions she is forced to commit on film are far more humiliating then anything in "Monster's Ball". And there is enough self-consciousness in the film's badness to effectively head off any attempts of condescension, but not enough for it to be effectively argued to be a satire. (What would it be satirizing). But yeah, it's not offensive and it didn't make me angry. Except in the sense that I could have been watching something else.
