Dodgeball was a really good movie. I read some critic reviews, and most of them said bad things about it. But i still went to see the movie, and i realized that the critics are wrong.

Dodgeball was a lot better than the critics said. It had a good plot line, and good actors. It also was a really funny movie. I usually don't laugh out loud at movies, but i did at this one. I would say that this is one of the best movies I've ever seen.

so again, i think that the critics were wrong; Dodgeball is not a bad movie, but a very, very good one, that is worth seeing.

This is Ben Stiller's fourth movie of this year, and it's the only good one. I laughed 'til I cried, then I laughed 'til I threw up, then I laughed some more. This is not a movie to see if you're looking for anything to mull over once it's done. You see this if you want to spend some quality time making fun of Chuck Norris when it's done. It centers on a group of misfits who try to save their tiny gym from foreclosure and takeover by Evil Ben Stiller by playing. . . Dodgeball. For money. And somehow it works.

The cast is great. Vince Vaughn makes for a good hero and he gets his share of laughs, but most of the big ones come from the supporting cast. Ben Stiller is hilarious whenever he's onscreen. "Jeepers Creepers" star Justin Long gets his fair share of laughs, mostly from getting hit with dodgeballs in just about every possible appendage. Oh yeah, that happens alot, too: there's an entire montage that consists mostly of people getting hit in the groin with various things. The rest of the cast is great, too. Rip Torn is hilarious as the team coach, legendary dodgeballer Patches O'Houlihan (his character has one of the most ironic, hilarious exits ever). And Stephen Root, best known as the immortal Milton ("y'know, squirelly guy, mumbles a lot. . ."), is hilarious in a role that should send him down in comic history as one of the greatest portrayers of utter bizarreness ever.
The comedy isn't all physical comedy, either. There are some great one-liners, plus a very subtle joke that makes fun of the movie itself that I enjoyed thoroughly (just look at what's written on the treasure chest at the very end). Don't forget to stay through the credits for some more great Chuck Norris-bashing.

That said, the movie has a few problems. It gets bogged down in cliches by the end, and although the movie knows this, it still doesn't help too much. We also get way too many of those cheesy celebrity cameos that are becoming too common in movies like this.

The negative doesn't outweigh the positive, though. This movie is a groin-bashing good time, plus it has Chuck Norris. ***1/2 out of 4.

"Dodgeball:A True Underdog Story" is the first film that deals with the sport, but after I saw the film, it won't be the last wither. this is one of those rare comedies that is actually funny. In the past, the only thing's funny is the title.

Vince Vaughn leads a good of mischiefs against the Cobras lead by Ben Stiller in the funniest performance he has given in years. Christine Talyor is appealing. Rip Torn is funny as the wheel-chair bound coach.

"Dodgeball" is funny. Even I laughed at a few scenes.

Not only is it one of the best comedies I've seen in quite a long time, but you have to stay to the very end - after the credits have stopped rolling. Hilarious! I couldn't believe how many people walked out before the end - and the ticket taker even told people to stay. It's a MUST see!!!

I had mostly written this one off as just another dumb movie that I didn't want to see. However, positive reviews and a "starting soon" showtime pushed me over the edge. I'm glad I went.

I found this film to be laugh-out-loud funny in spots. They really hit the mark on many levels. The film would be just as enjoyable on DVD as it was in the theater, but in my opinion, it shouldn't be missed. They got the formula right for this one.

Be sure to sit through the credits, as there is an extra special segment at the very end.
