I was in Manhattan this past weekend (10/25/03) and saw the premier.

My 20 year old son was also with me and both of us wanted to get up and walk out. Several people did in fact get up and leave. The movie was terrible.

We knew it was going to be a different roll for Meg Ryan but the script was was out of line and the plot didn't make much sense. This movie will do nothing good for Meg's career.

Kevin Bacon played a great roll and Meg's performance was acceptable at best, as was Jennifer Jason Leigh. The other two main actors, Mark Ruffalo and Nick Damici, are B movie actors and should never have been cast in a movie with Meg Ryan!

This movie was horrible. Rated R? It should be rated X!

Nothing tied in together and so many unexplained things.

Meg Ryan should be embarrased.

Meg Ryan\'s most riskest role since \"When a Man Loves a Woman\" is the erotic thriller \"In the Cut.\" The film features Ryan as a college teacher who falls for detective while investigating a series of grusome murders. Ryan took the risk of playing a dark character and that risk paid off. Anyone who show up just to see Ryan in the nude is missing the point. Ryan is not afraid of taking on different characters. Even that means being in the nude, like she did in this movie. Jennifer Jason Lee had played different characters too. This film is no exception. she played Ryan\'s sister. This film is Director Jane Campion\'s first commerical movie. \"In the Cut\" won\'t be making the big bucks like the latest Matrix movie, but at least it had it day in the theatre.
