Excellent movie! Carlin is believable as a grandfather and Affleck is believable as a father (although neither have "played that role" in real life). It's a warm, touching story that will have you laughing, crying, joyous and leaving the theater feeling good.

Too bad there is so much cussing - it distracted from the movie

What a sweet, funny, touching movie! Ben Affleck is great, as is Liv Tyler and the little girl, Raquel Castro, And George Carlin was very believeable as the dad/grandfather.

You'll leave the theater feeling good!

Not a part of Kevin Smith's Askewniverse, but an excellent movie just the same. Even with out the vulgarity, Kevin Smith shows that he knows how to tell a story and write outstanding dialogue. If you liked Chasing amy, you'll like this movie.

A below average Kevin Smith film is still an above average movie. Affleck just can\'t act.

Whats so damn funny about Kevin Smith is that he will sell about as much merchandise on his web site for this flick as he does tickets to see it at the theatre. Smith is an average artist with an above average appetite for money. The way he pimps his fans on his web site would be amusing if it weren't so pathetic. He actually begged his fans to see his last film (J&SBSB) several times, promising some signed merchandise in return for their ticket stubs as proof that they watched it, and watched it, and watched it again. And he and Miramax vote democratic because, you know, they're for 'the people'.

God Bless America!
