If you're looking for a movie that is scary or loaded with action, don't see Red Eye. This movie is pretty weak. It has a really basic plot and there isn't anything dark or scary about it. I still don't know why they chose to name the film Red Eye. I'de say this film is similar to the movie Cellular, so if you thought Cellular was good, you'll probably like this movie.

Even though this film wasn't very scary, Rachel McAdams and Cillian Murphy were well casted for their roles and they made the film believable. If you want an ordinary movie with some action, rent Red Eye when it comes to video.

\"Red Eye\" is a post-9/11 version of Alfred Hitchock\'s 1942 film \"Saboteur.\" Matter of fact, Director Wes Craven may have crash course of watching Alfred Hitchock films and made one to look like it was made by Hitchcock. Rachael McAdams stars as a woman who was caught up in a assassin plot. Like \"Saboteur\" and \"North by Northwest\" the hero of these film are everyday people who are caught up in uuexplain situations. this is an intense film. Craven certainaly did his homework very well. the supporting characters in \"Red Eye\" sound like they may have come from the inspiration of Hitchock.

After a couple of bad movies, Wes Craven shows he can still do suspense with the best of them. Very good movie.

Go into this movie expecting suspense/drama and you will not be disappointed. The story line is not perfect, but it's interesting and tense. I could easily see this story morphing into an action movie with a few changes. I left the theater discussing it with my date, and that's usually a good thing. Suspenseful? Yes. Even a startled jump or two. But it is kind of slow in the beginning. Not a horror, despite the tone of the previews. Both lead actors are excellent.

Interestin premise...but falls short. I almost rated it a good, but it is best seen as a rental.
