I really liked the movie, it started pretty slow and I wasn't really sold on it at first but about a quarter of the way into it things got better and I loved the final 3/4 of the film. I'm not sure if there were casting mistakes or poor scripting but Diane Keaton's role didn't really work for me. Worth going to see for sure.

A terrible film with a strong cast with no direction and hope. The family has gathered for Christmas, when one member of the family brought home his girlfriend. This movie made a miskate of being a message movie, a slackstick comedy, a drama with no results to back it up. Leaving to cast with very little to work at. The family looked a lame collection of tv sterotypoes put together by other movies and tv shows. The cast is weak. Diane Keaton, who I admire for many years in lame. So's Sarah Jessica Parker. Everyone iin the movie is lame. "The Family Stone" has fallen short of it's goals.
