"Firehouse Dog" is a movie about a movie dog who wants to be a firehouse dog. would that make a good movie? Probaby! Maybe not! Sure, the dog can jump out of windows and jump on firetrucks. Lassie could probaby do it better. But there's very little to like. Sure it's a family movie, but intense scenes of firefighters being in danger will scare some kids. I learned that from the Ron Howard 1991 film "Backdraft." Even I was turned off by the conflict between Josh Hutcherson and his father. "Firehouse Dog" should done more than that.
