I am surprised at how much more powerful this film is than Flags of our Fathers. I can\'t say enough good things about it.

There are two sides to every story. First Director Clint Eastwood gave us \"Flags of Our Fathers\" last fall, and now we got \"Letters from Iwo Jiva.\" This is the better of the two movies, because the film takes the point of view of the Japanese. Their code of battle is a lot higher than the Americans, but other than than there is no difference between the American and the Japanese troops. director Eastwood really did a excellent job at making this movie. For a few minutes I wasn\'t watching a film by Clint Eastwood, I was watching a film directed by Japanese Director Akira Kurosawa. Also a one point when the American forces were moviing it, and the Japanese soilders were trapped, another film by Kurosawa came to mind; the 1957 movie he made called \"Throne of Blood.\" This is one of the best war movies of the past ten years. This movie is a must-see.
