As popcorn movies go, this one fits the bill fairly well, but don't expect something of the level of "The Fugitive" or "U.S. Marshals." The reason I bring those two movies up is that Tommy Lee Jones is continuing the same sort of role that he did so well in those (and other) films.

My first comment after exiting the theater was that there was more hand-to-hand combat than I've seen in a movie in a very long time! Even though he's beginning to age, Tommy Lee Jones played his role well and believably. Benicio Del Toro is an odd choice for this role, I thought he was grittier in Traffic, and this role needed someone to portray the character of someone trained to kill who has lost the ability to "turn it off."

The action sequences are pretty disjointed, and you know what's going to happen, but it's still fun to watch, and that's what makes a popcorn film. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a very watchable action film. Just don't ask for too much plot sense, and you'll be fine.

\"The Hunted\" brings actor Tommy Lee Jones back to the height of his acting ability, the type of thing I haven\'t seen since his Oscar wining performance in \"the Fugitive.\" Jones plays a tracker who must stop an assassin played by Benicio Del Toro, after he killed two hunters. Toro also gave a great performance.

Its a \"Rambo\" rehash, without all the fire and explosions, so it isn\'t even \"Rambo\".

It is somewhat entertaining if you can get past how rediculous it sometimes gets to be, but I would have felt embarassed to pay full price for this film.

If you like action non-stop, then you will like this movie. The only thing I can say that was left out was more background into why and how the hunted bacame the hunted. It tells how and why for about 2 minutes. Just not enough information.
