I really enjoyed this movie. Although the plot is well known, the action kept you at edge. Also it gives you a glance at the working of the german army.

Good acting.Good movie for senior citizen.

Excellent movie, full of tension and drama. Tom Cruise's performance is Oscar-worthy.

Tom Cruise gives another amazing performance in "Valkyrie." He plays a colonial who lives his country, but dislike the man who runs the country. thus he plans to assassinate Hilter and sue for peace. but the assassination fails. It's based on a true story. I read about in in High School. Noting shocking there. I won't comment on what happen to the plotter. You just have to see it for yourself. It's a great history lesson.

I was surprised that I liked this as much as I did!

I was concerned that Tom Cruise the pop culture star was going to overshadow his character of a German Colonel looking to overthrow Hitler and his government. Those concerns were allayed fairly early on in the proceedings, as Cruise sinks into the role pretty effectively, and the story moves along at a pace fast enough to keep you from thinking about people jumping on couches and debating Matt Lauer on live TV.

The level of intrigue keeps you on the edge of your seat (even though you know the outcome) and active sound mix will keep you from slouching as well.

As a huge fan of historical dramatization films, Valkyrie is probably one of my favorites of all time in that genre. Tom Cruise gives a surprisingly layered performance, and the movie in general keeps the audience thinking, which is one of the biggest accomplishments that movies can do.
