The character of Liberty Vance is more than just a villain, he made his villainy a top priority and he can prove it by each scene in the movie. the man that he save is name Tom Donaghen played by John Wayne who teaches Stoddard how to shoot and stand up to Vance. I love the performances from Stewart and Wayne, but I like the performance by Lee Marvin as Liberty Vance He not very mean because the film calls him to be mean, but i like the name Liberty Vance. What a cool name for a villain.
