One of the best movies of the year. Mar 16, 2009
I waited five months for this movie to come to a Kalamazoo movie theatre and it paid off. "Rachel Getting Married" is a powerful movie built around a wedding. This may be the first movie that is center on the bride or the groom. It's center on Rachel's sister, played by Hathaway who is a former drug addict who still has a grudge against her family. The addition wore off but the scars remain. Anne hathaway played a different character unlike the likable characters she played over the past 10 years. she smoke on screen for the first time. Her anger towards her family became more powerful. I love this movie very much, I wish I saw that movie earlier. The week I saw this movie, it was release on DVD. Thanks a lot!
