Clint Eastwood may have retire as actor, but he's not giving up the director's chair. "Invictus" is the story of a rugby tean with help and support from President Nelson Mandela, has united the country though that sport. Morgan Freeman is brilliant as the South Africa president Mandela, and Matt Damon is fine as the leader of the rughy team, I recommending this movie, not for the directing by Eastwood, but I want people to learn about the game of Rugby. I think very few people has ever see a Rugby match and they will get a chance with this movie. Hopefully someone will be a fan when they come out of the theatre.

Yes, we want to be positive about a film about Nelson Mandella and how he uses the national rugby team as a unifier of the new South Africa. Okay, fair enough...but I was hoping for a bit more. You don't really get an inight into Mandella. You do root for the team. The heart beats. But I think that's all there is.

This is a great movie. The game of Rugby was used to unify the country. Politics were not pushed on us as viewers. This movie showed how a great man can do great things.
Clint was up to his usual quality with his directing. Morgan Freeman was also involved with the making of this film. Great job guys.

Could have been a great movie if more of the South African transition of power had been dramatically detailed. Although rugby's analogous role to that transition is presented exhaustively, no convincingly meaningful drama in Mandella's administration or the lives of South Africans shows.
