Amanda Seyfried is becoming my favorite actress, despite the fact that she appeared in two bad movies over the last six months; they are "Jennifer's Body" and "Dear John." Despite that I still faith in her. The film "Letters to Julliet" I happen to like for two reasons. 1) it's not an adaption of a Hal Sparks movie. 2. Seyfried's appeal has kept me glued to the movie. the theme is how love letters can affect the lives of others. the film opened with Seyfried going to Italy to research for a story. While there, she came across a letter in the wall that was written some fifty years ago. that led her to a real Julliet played by Vanessa Redgrave in her best role in years. the search is on to find the man who wrote her that letter until they come upon Julliet's love that she though has gone forever. he is played by Franco Nero. I won't give away the ending, but there are some twist and turns in that movie.this is a wonderful romantic, one of the best that I saw in a long time. The film has a PG rating, so the movie's friendly to everyone. In still waiting for "Chloe" to come to Kalamazoo which also stars Amanada Seyfried., so I guess that "Letters to Juliet" will have to do until that film finally arrives. Amanda Seyfried is so appealing, it make me want to write a love letter to the her. Looking for more opinions?Check out our Featured Movie Reviews for Letters to Juliet. |
