Choo-choo runs amuck. How can it be stopped? Denzel Washington has the same voice and mannerisms as he does in most of his films. Yeah, he's good. But does the film build up that suspense to keep in involved? Pretty much. What happens in the end? You can find out, but does it just knock your socks off? Almost.

Very good, a "sit on the edge of your seat" movie.

I can recall growing up near a railroad track, where I watch trains go by my plance on a daily basis. Watching "Unstoppable" made me recall that time. I love trains movies and this movie is no exception. Denzel Washington and Chris Pine are railroad workers who are trying to stop a rampaging train from hitting a city. The triple seven makes the Silver Streak looked like the General. When that train goes down the tracks at a high rate of speed, I was at the edge of my seat. A real roller coaster ride.

Denzel Washington is one of Hollywood's best actors, and movies like this showcase his abilities without being a "Denzel Washington movie."

The star of this show is the train. It's the villain that is out to ruin everyone's day. Washington and underling Chris Pine are the guys we're rooting for to save the day, but the proceedings never spoil the ending of whether this is going to be a tragedy or just a close call.

Like most action movies, there are plenty of things that you could pick apart and identify as unbelievable, but this isn't a documentary, and it's not difficult to check your skepticism at the door, and those few things won't bother you afterward either.

There are some movies that are so well done (through the direction, acting, etc.) that you find yourself wanting to watch them from time to time. You don't mind that you know how it ends, because like all good road trips, the journey is often more important than the destination. I'm not sure how many miles are covered in the course of this movie, but the 98 minutes it takes to watch are very well spent indeed!
