Your Highness Throughout history, tales of chivalry have burnished the legends of brave, handsome knights who rescue fair damsels, slay dragons and conquer evil. But behind many a hero is a good-for-nothing... View more > Starring James Franco, Danny McBride, Natalie Portman... Since I've grown up, I no longer have an appreciation for the gratuitous nudity and excessive foul language . . so that was a turn-off. That said, the movie was utterly ridiculous. I laughed at a number of scenes just because it was so ridiculous. I don't get to movies much anymore, and while this didn't totally bite, I wish I'd have paid to see something else. Apr 12, 2011
The real problem wioth "Your Highness" other than being a bad movie that the film is penis envy. There are penis jokes everywhere. Actor/writer Danny McBride wrote the screenplay as if he adapted it from a book of penis jokes. I heard more f-bombs in this movie than the MTV Movie Awards. The film is a waste of talent coming from the likes of James France (127 Hours), Natalie Portman (Black Swan) and Zooey Deschanel (500 Days of Summer). Another movie, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" is far funnier this movie because there are no penis jokes and no bathroom humor. "Your Highness" is a sad example of a movie with a good promise, can turn bad that quickly. Apr 13, 2011
Besides what the others have said about it being vulgar and such, the acting, or lack of, is really really bad. I have seen better at a pre school play. The previews looked funny, they were, the movie wasn't. Apr 24, 2011
This was a wonderful mash up of comedy and medieval fantasy. Extremely funny at times and interesting enough between to keep you're attention. Probably one of the best movies in theaters right now. Though be warned if you can't handle crudeness in terms of nudity and overall lack of shame for anything out of bounds then you probably won't enjoy this movie.
