My son loved this movie, which is all that matters! I thought it was cute too. Oct 28, 2012
The only reason why they keeping this sinking ship of the series is that the could take a number of popular songs and butchered them using squeaking voices. Perhaps if the next movies of the series comes (heaven forbid) they be using more songs. The plot is a little lame. The Chipmunks are on a ship going to a musical awards show, (as if we have too musical awards shows as is) Before they know it, they were on a deserted island. From there the chipmunks just wander from one scene to another as if very is happening. When a volcano exploded on the island, than that's where the movie finally got started. But it's too little too late. The title of the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie is "Chipwreck." Said a lot about this movie.
