From a dramatic point of view this may not be the most well done movie, but I found it visionary in a scientific and philosophical way. Stephen Hawking once said that the first alien encounter with humans may be more like the Indians meeting Europeans for the first time. This movie may be a more accurate account of what a close encounter of the third kind may actually be. I also found the technology portrayed in the movie extremely interesting, a kind of biological and mechanical hybrid. It would be no surprise to me to believe that they must have some sort of a biological power source. From a religious point view the comment about the Rapture in this movie was also interesting. Many people have speculated that the Rapture is a precognition to an massive alien abduction. In all, this movie has led to more stimulating discussion that any recent movies I have seen in the past.

This is one of the poorest examples of a sci-fi movie. No real idea of what was going on and the lamest ending. Stay away! Save your money.

I am abig fan of sci-fi, but this one just plain sucked!

Poor acting, with no thrills. Usally one is able to enjoy the speacial effects to carry you through poor acting or a lite dialog. But I found even the battle boring. I wasn't even thrilled with the music. This was just really a disappointment.

Los Angeles mneeds some respect on the big screen. Last year half of the city fell into the ocean in "2012," now it's invaded by slimy aliens. I"m not expecting "Skyline" to be as great as "Independance Day" or the 2005 remake of "War of the Worlds." it's a fairly good movie about a group of people who are trapped in apartment complex where the aliens are attacking the city. To add to the term, "you can run, but you can't hide," the people are trapped in a building while fighting off the aliens as best they can.
