excellent twist
Coming into this movie I had movies like The Shining and Shutter Island in mind. It was cut from the same cloth as those movies, but did not measure up in my opinion. Without giving anything away, I believe it did not transition well from beginning to middle to end. I think the movie could have used another half an hour to build upon such a complicated idea. It all seemed a bit rushed and once the cat was out of the bag and you knew what was really going on, it all kind of went down hill from there.

Three star power actors could not save this B movie. The last few minutes were interesting, but some of that would have been good way earlier on. The viewer was asked to piece together a puzzle, not a 1000 piece puzzle, but rather a 25 piece puzzle that turned out to be pretty predictable and disappointing. Daniel Craig's British accent did not work in this film. Naomi Watts delivered a consistently flat and tedious performance. Rachel Weisz spent most of the movie screaming in her pajamas. They probably didn't have the budget for Kevin Spacey, so they hired someone who looked like him to play Watts' ex-hubbie with serious issues.

The trailer made it look great, but no...no, no, no. : (

"Dream House" is nothing more than a rip-off of "The Amityville Horror." what's worse, it's not much of a horror movie to began with. A couple with two children live in a house where a mass murder has occurred somw five years ago. would you know iut, someone in the house has freaked out and you know where that leads. The house is nothing usual. there was some crazy writings, that probaby scares me, but it doesn't. The film is empty despite the cast which includes Daniel Craig, Rachael Weisz and Naomi Watts. Wasted performances all along.
