A wonderful christmas movie that keeps repeating itself every year. Jean Shepherd is a great storyteller, (I watch his television series "Jean Shepherd's America" in the 1970's in PBS and that he's great at storytelling. He also a great writer) wrote this tale of a young boy (I believe it came from his childhood experiences) who wanted a b-b gun for christmas, whom the grown ups kept warning him that it will put a eye out.
