[--- Wait for Rental ---]by

I took my two month old and my almost three year old to see this movie. Obviously, my two month old wasn't impressed but neither was my almost three year old. Four of the episodes scared or upset my almost three year old somewhat. She did; however, really enjoy the Noah's ark episode. I thought the opening sequence with the flying triangles was very cool. It looked very M. C. Escher-like.

I was really hoping this was a small child's movie and it wasn't. I feel that the animation and music is entertaining for an adult or older child but I don't really recommend this movie for little ones. I think if you want a younger child to see this movie wait for rental so you can fast-forward through any parts he/she doesn't like.

"Fantasia 2000" may be a sequel to "Fantasia" from 1940, but I doubt it. I like the new music and animation whxh came out of the new Fantasia. I hope many kids who sat though both Fantasias will get a know and the love of classical music. Some will come for the miusic, others for the amination. I came for both.
