While I was at grade school, history classes never taught me the holocaust. When I heard what happen in Europe during World War 2, I began to look into the subject matter on my own. I the school library has limited resources so I didn't learn much. Which is probaby the reason why Director Steven Spieldberg made this movie is to educate the people who never knew what happen. This is a tough film to sit though, there is a lot of violence in the movie. When the violence happen the camera refused to turn away. Liam Neeson plays Oskar Schindler a businessman who profit the war and in the process they hired Polish Jews as their employees. When some of the emplyees were murder, Schindler couldn't do anything about it. But his view changed in one scene where he saw a girl in red. (the film was shot in black and white) All the sudden, his view towards them has changed. Ralph Finnes plays a villain who stood in the way of Schindler in his effort of saving the polish jews. This is a powerful movie that needs to be seen by everyone. it is well made and acted, It's in black and white except for some moments and the music score is very impressive. So i urge you to see this movie. You come away with a better understanding of the subject matter.
