This may very well be the funniest movie ever made! Only ANIMAL HOUSE and AUSTIN POWERS have the same potency as this underrated gem. Okay, maybe 'underrated' is a strong word. Still, this movie should have been legendary like ANIMAL HOUSE, but will probably wind up as just another SNL flick. I beg anyone reading this: don't simplify this movie to that extent.

This movie succeeds in both screwball and high-brow humor. Critics never gave it credit for how clever it was, but many of the jokes are closer to Woody Allen and James L Brooks than Adam Sandler.

Mike Myers and Dana Carvey shine as the stars of everyone's favorite cable access show. The plot follows the duo as they fall prey to Rob Lowe's greedy TV exec (honestly, has Lowe ever NOT played a jerk?) and fall in love with the lead singer of a rock band (the ravishing Tia Carrere).

The best thing about this movie is that it is strictly a comedy and never takes itself too seriously. There are so many hilarious moments (my favorite being Garth's reinactment of PSYCHO on a donut) that I can't possibly list them all. I can say this: GO SEE THIS MOVIE. IF YOU'VE ALREADY SEEN IT, GO BUY IT AND WATCH IT AGAIN!

FIVE STARS!! (OUT OF FOUR)

Even though this is an old movie, it's still really funny. Mike Myers is one of my favrite actors even though I still like Astin Powers more. You should see this movie if you haven't already, its sooo funny! I think Mike Myers has made more funny movies then any one else even Adam Sandler. There's Waynes World, Astin Powers, So I Married a Ax Murderer, and Saterday Nite Live!

Okay, it is pretty much useless reviewing one of the most popular comedies of all time. EVERYONE I've talked to loved this movie, even my grandfather, a WWII vet! That just proves how smart the script is, beneath the facade of common slapstick and moronic 'Bill and Ted' humor. Don't ever confuse WAYNE'S WORLD with other far less clever comedies such as BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE and BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD DO AMERICA. Don't make the mistake of grouping it with the other "Saturday Night Live" movies, either; it is far better than any of them (THE BLUES BROTHERS included). This film is so funny that my friends and I can watch it time after time and never stop enjoying it. This kind of film is a rarity; a "Saturday Night Live" based movie with the lasting power of CASABLANCA. One of the epic comedies of all time.

\"Wayne\'s World\" is a feature movie based on the Saturday Night Live parodies. Mike Myers and Dana Carvey are two dudes who run their own television show on the access channel. But there\'s not much going on in this movie. \"Wayne\'s World\" doesn\'t have much going in this movie.
