Finally, the writers, director and producers are getting back the "old bond" formula. The movie is fast paced with only a few slow spots that carry you from one exotic location to another. Overall, a worthy effort. Brosnan is beginning to look more comfortable in the role. Still prefer Connery or even Moore. Something about those two that makes it effortless to watch over and over. The best Pierce Brosnan James Bond movie. I liked it. Jan 25, 2000
This movie had to be one of the best BOND movies ever. The story line was one like no other and the casting was great. Bonds new toys and gadgets were awesome and the explosiveness of this movie was at an all time best. Nothing like experiencing this movie live at the theater and you should if your read for a night of everything. It keeps you at the edge of your seat the whole night with explosions shooting and everything else that comes with Mr. 007. If your going to go see this movie leave the children at home. Its bloody and deadly. Finally if your going to go see this movie its like none other and have fun like i did!! Jan 25, 2000
Typical Bond flick, women cars bombs, shooting, et. Jan 25, 2000
One of the best Bonds to come to town, a very sexy movie with all the fantasy adventure I need from a Bond Movie. I was not short changed at this adventure and it has to be seen on the big screen. I was entranced by all the great special effects and gags. All the gags came off as spectacular and I did not once think, this just can't be done on Lake Michigan. Pierce Brosnan is a great Bond, and one of the all time top three. Sophie Marceau is a Bond Goddess, the sexual innuendo and insinuations were all there and again, living up to the Bond way. This was a good movie but I thought it could have been better. First off the plot: I won't say what it is but I will say that it had a few gaps that were not filled in by the end of the movie. Next, the characters: I have no problem with Pierce Bosnan as Bond (I think he does a great job infact) but I did have a problem with Denise Richards playing the Nuclear Scientist.(The only reason I think they put her in was for a few of her "assets") If you want to see a Bond movie with Brosnan in it, see "Goldeneye" Jul 21, 2003
Cheesy acting by both Bond girls takes this one down a few notches, and almost makes it a "Wait for Rental" Looking for more opinions?Check out our Featured Movie Reviews for The World Is Not Enough. |
