Great characters. Interesting story. Universal themes.

Well acted story of troubled human being. I didn't really like the ending though....

Ah, a great performance by Micky for sure...but I didn't really enjoy this film. How can you really enjoy the story of a jerk who clearly chooses to be a smuck towards his daughter. I don't have a whole lot of affinity towards his type of behavior, even though I understand it.

"The Wrestler" is not about wrestling, it's about the man who wears the pants. Mickey Rourke, in an Oscar nominated performance, gives a powerful performance as a wrestler named the Ram, who perform at wrestling events on a weekend and take a second job during the weekday just to make ends meet. if you think that wrestling is glamous, I urged you to see this movie.Marisa Tomei gives a sexy performance which also earn her an Oscar nomination. Evan Rachael Wood is great as her daughter, who he's trying to heal their stormy relationship. I like this movie due the great performance by Rourke, but not a great movie. But it's nice to have him back on the big screen again. After the tragic death of Natasha Richardson, I'm happy to have anyone back on the big screen again.

This was an interesting movie with a surprisingly deep performance by Mickey Roarke. It's definitely worth catching on video.
