Last Updated on April 19, 2024

DTS:X is an immersive sound format, similar to Barco Auro and Dolby Atmos, where speakers are placed above the audience in addition to the traditional surround channels on the walls, in order to create a more spacial experience in the vertical direction as well as the horizontal.

Finding DTS:X Showtimes

We rely on theaters to indicate DTS:X showtimes. DTS:X will be indicated on showtimes that have been marked as such by the theater.

To make it easier to find a presentation in DTS:X, we have created a search tool we call Movies Playing in DTS:X. That will display all showtimes with DTS:X indications provided by the movie theater.
