A new operator is taking over the former Cineplanet 16 movie theater in Atoka, Tennessee. The theater closed recently, but Knoxville-based Phoenix Theatres will be reopening the theater soon as the Phoenix Theatres - Atoka Cinemas.

Located northeast of Memphis on the corner of US Highway 51 and Atoka-Munford Road, the sixteen-screen movie theater will join the company's twelve locations around the country. There is no mention of when the theater is opening as of the writing of this article, but the company's page for this location does mention a promotion that starts Saturday, May 24, 2025.

Job Fair

The movie theater is holding a job fair on Friday and Saturday (May 23 & 24) from 10am - 6pm for management and theater staff with onsite interviews for full and part time jobs. For more information, check out the theater's website on its Related Sites page.
