When the Movie Tavern - Bedford in Bedford, Texas closed in January, it left one less choice in the area to watch movies on the big screen. Located just south of the Airport Freeway (Texas 121) at Central Drive, the movie theater had been operated by Marcus Theatres Corporation, which acquired all Movie Tavern locations in 2019. It originally opened in 1985 as the General Cinema Central Park 8.

LOOK Dine-In Cinemas has announced that it will be reopening the theater in May:

It will be known as the LOOK Dine-In Cinemas - Bedford. The company operates theaters in California, Georgia, New York, and Virginia, as well as the LOOK Dine-In Cinemas - Arlington. The Arlington location also was formerly a Movie Tavern location before the LOOK Cinemas opened it in 2022.

Until it opens, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Cinepolis Euless in Euless and the Cinemark North East Mall 18 and XD in Hurst.
