Moviegoers in Bluefield, West Virginia will be happy to know that the movie theater at the Mercer Mall has reopened!

Located outside of the shopping center along Big Laurel Highway, the theater was last known as the AMC Classic Bluefield 8, which closed in February 2023. It reopened yesterday, April 11, 2025 as the Golden Ticket Cinemas - Bluefield 8.

Originally expected to open in the fall of 2023, the movie theater is operated by Golden Ticket Cinemas, which has locations in twelve states. This is the company's first location in West Virginia.
