A "closed" sign will be hanging on the Island 16: Cinema de Lux in Holtsville, New York until repairs can be made to its fire detection system.

According to an article published recently by the Patch (see below), the town's Chief Fire Marshal determined that the theater will not reopen until repairs are made.

Showtimes and Tickets

Even though the theater is closed, we continue to receive showtimes for the theater. The theater's official website still has showtimes, but there is a message at the top announcing the closure. Keep this in mind when visiting the Showtimes page for the Island 16: Cinema de Lux.

Until it reopens, moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Regal Ronkonkoma 9 in Ronkonkoma and the Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center in Patchogue.
