Opening Soon Sign

The movie theater at The Village at San Antonio Center in Mountain View, California will be opening later this year. The screens went dark last July, when the Kerasotes Mountain View ShowPlace ICON at San Antonio Center was closed by parent company Kerasotes ShowPlace Theatres, LLC., along with the company's three other locations in Santa Clara, California, Chicago, Illinois, and St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

When it opens June 16, 2025, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Mountain View will offer new reclining seats that have built-in tables and cupholders, in addition to the experience that Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is known for. Based in Austin, Texas, the company prides itself on showing movies paired with food and drinks, which are delivered to your seat by servers trained to be unobtrusive. Its strict no-texting, no-talking policy ensures that customer conduct will not be an issue when watching mainstream first-release movies, as well as classic and cult-favorite titles of years past.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema also is planning to reopen the former Kerasotes San Jose ShowPlace ICON at Valley Fair in Santa Clara. The exact timeframe is unknown, but it is expected to open some time this summer.
