The Showcase Cinema de Lux Randolph in Randolph, Massachusetts has closed.

Located 13 miles south of downtown Boston, the 16-screen movie theater showed its final movies on Sunday, March 1, 2026. A farewell message was posted on the theater's website:

Showcase Cinema de Lux Randolph is closing.

It has been our pleasure to serve the Randolph community. Sunday, March 1st, will be the last full day of cinema operations at Showcase Cinema de Lux Randolph.

We truly thank you for your dedicated patronage and hope to welcome you to one of our nearby locations.

It originally opened in 1998 as the Showcase Cinemas Randolph. It later became the Showcase Cinema de Lux Randolph. An IMAX theater was added in 2007 or 2008, and it was upgraded in 2016 with recliner seating, a new bar in the lobby, and a remodeled concession stand.

The theater was operated by National Amusements, which has locations in Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, and Rhode Island. The company has closed several locations in the past year, including the Showcase Cinema de Lux Patriot Place in Foxboro, which closed in January and will be reopened under new management.

Where to Watch Movies on the Big Screen

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the AMC Braintree 10 in Braintree and the Cameo Theater in South Weymouth. If you have gift cards to use, the closest location is the Showcase Cinema de Lux Legacy Place, which is about eight miles away in Dedham.
