The Seaford Cinemas in Seaford, New York has closed.

Located in Long Island along Merrick Road, about 42 miles east of downtown New York City, the theater's last day of operation was April 28, 2025. Its website now displays the following message:

Seaford Cinemas will be closing its doors as of Monday, April 28, 2025. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has come to enjoy movies at our theater over the last few years. It has been an honor serving the community.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Bellmore Playhouse and the Bellmore Movies and Showplace in Bellmore, and the AMC Dine-In Levittown 10 in Levittown.

Theater History

The movie theater originally opened in 2000, operated by Boston Culinary Group. It closed in 2021 and reopened September 29, 2022 as the independently-operated Seaford Cinemas 8. In October 2024, it was known as the Seaford Cinemas.
