The Idan-Ha Drive-in in Soda Springs, Idaho is not reopening for the 2025 season.
Located behind Liberty Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on West 2nd S, the outdoor movie theater has been operated by Jared and Alisha Davis since 2014. It was built in 1954 as the Dawn-a Vu Drive-in and was later renamed to the Idan-Ha Drive-in.
They recently posted the news about not reopening this year on the theater's Facebook page:
We are sad to announce that there are no plans to operate the Drive-in this summer. While we have enjoyed running the theatre for the past 10 years of its 75-year history, several factors contributed to this decision.
We’d also like to acknowledge Craig Davis, who has been incredibly generous in allowing us to operate on his property since he purchased it in 2010. We have never owned the property, only operated the drive-in. Please be sure to express your thanks to him when you see him.
Jared, Alisha, Sierra, and all our Drive-In staff and family.
Moviegoers in the area will need to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Idan-Ha Theatre in Soda Springs and the Centre Theatre in Montpelier. Unfortunately, there are no drive-in movie theaters within 50 miles of the Idan-Ha's location.
