Now Open sign

The Gap Theatre in Wind Gap, Pennsylvania reopened to the public on March 7, 2025.

Located on South Broadway near Mechanic Street, the historic movie theater originally opened in 1947 and closed in 2020. In October, we published a story that said that the theater was undergoing some renovations and hoped to open later in the year. Given the complexities with opening a movie theater, we'd consider its opening in March to be within the margin of estimation.

The theater opened with a double feature of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and a midnight screening of Eraserhead.

Showtimes

It sounds like they are planning to show classic and cult favorites, so keep an eye on the Showtimes page for the Gap Theatre.

Until now, moviegoers in the area needed to visit one of the other nearby theaters, including the Regal Northampton Cinema & RPX in Easton and the Cinemark Stroud Mall in Stroudsburg.
